Through shared resources and a unified voice, the Maryland Seafood Co-op enables watermen and aquaculturists to attain a viable livelihood while supporting a healthy Chesapeake Bay.

Based in Annapolis, the Maryland Seafood Co-op is the State’s first watermen-owned cooperative producing and selling sustainably grown Chesapeake Bay shellfish for the regional retail market. With an engaged membership, their multi-generational knowledge of and their expertise in growing and harvesting shellfish in the Bay is creating supplemental economic opportunities for its members while at the same time helping to preserve their rich cultural heritage.
